(Pictures are in chronological order) Today was someone's birthday so we decided to take the metro to Seoul and see some sights. After the ride we walked along a river to get to Gwanghwamun plaza where the statues of Admiral Yi Sun shin and King Sejong the Great are located. Just north of them is Gyeongbokgung palace. We walked all around seeing all the buildings where the emperor would live and work. After that we went and had a snack break before going to the nearby Jogyesa buddhist temple. We ate dinner in the area and then headed back home. Total we were gone for about 10 hours. It was really cool seeing these cultural sites in the middle of the big city.

That is the street our hotel was on... the main one with the statues and ending at the Palace! Food looks delicious! Have fun!
